{"id":4184,"date":"2011-11-07T15:55:05","date_gmt":"2011-11-07T15:55:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.smartfactoringquotes.co.uk\/blog\/?p=98"},"modified":"2011-11-07T15:55:05","modified_gmt":"2011-11-07T15:55:05","slug":"beware-indicative-terms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.invoicefactoringquotes.co.uk\/blog\/?p=4184","title":{"rendered":"Beware indicative terms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We often speak to clients who say they have an &#8220;offer&#8221; from another lender.<\/p>\n<p>Typically this is nothing more than indicative terms and really should not be relied upon.<\/p>\n<p>Most lenders will follow the following process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial meeting<\/li>\n<li>Follow up with indicative terms<\/li>\n<li>If you accept they will submit to their credit team for a decision (this is the first hurdle where things can fall down)<\/li>\n<li>They will then offer an offer subject to survey<\/li>\n<li>If you accept they will conduct an onsite survey\/due dilligence<\/li>\n<li>This survey is submitted to the credit team (this is the second hurdle where things can fall down)<\/li>\n<li>From here they will issue legal documentation<\/li>\n<li>Even then things can fall over when they conduct searches or when they do an inter factor reference if you are transferring from another lender<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It is important to understand what constitutes an offer and what you should and should not rely on.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We often speak to clients who say they have an &#8220;offer&#8221; from another lender.
